THINGS TO DO

With it’s fantastic position in Blackwaterfoot on the west coast of Arran, there is no shortage of spectacular scenery and adventures to be found. Here are some of our favourites.

Beaches

The house is located right next to a small beach that is great for exploring.  Alternatively a few minutes walk away is the a large sandy beach adjacent to Shiskine Golf Course.

Cycling

Arran is popular with cyclists and many choose to complete a full circuit of the island within the day.  Bikes are available to hire from Arran Active in Brodick

Golf

Arran is a golfer’s paradise, with 7 golf courses for you to enjoy.   With stunning scenery on every fairway – you can be driving a tee shot towards Goatfell, playing down towards Holy Isle, or putting out overlooking Kintyre and Drumadoon Point – the Arran golf experience is one that every golfer can enjoy. Most golf courses are accessible daily throughout the year, and although booking isn’t essential it is advisable, especially in the summer months, to ensure you get to make the most of your holiday golf. Club and trolley hire is also available.

Watersports

Surrounded by water, there are plenty of options for sailing and watersports in the area.

Walking

Whether you fancy a gentle stroll or something more challenging in the hills, there is something for everyone on Arran.  Coastal routes, standing stones or a scramble up Goatfell - your choices are endless.  Visit Walk Highlands for routes
